BERTHOLD (BERT) HERMAN JULIUS WITT It is with great sorrow we announce the unexpected passing of our father and grandfather Berthold (Bert) Herman Julius Witt on Sunday, September 5, 2010 at the age of 76 years. Bert will be deeply missed and his memory will forever be cherished by his daughter Catarina Witt, his granddaughters Tia-Parise Landry, Stephanie Dorion, April Dorion (Yannick Dostie) and his great-grandson Jacob Dostie. First and foremost, my Dad was a family man, an amazing father and grandfather involved in our lives everyday. His love and devotion never faltered. Whether at home, work or in a coffee shop he was always ready to make someone smile or crack a joke. Bert was an engineer by trade and a workaholic by choice; if he could walk, he could work. In Dad's free time he loved fishing, the outdoors and family dinners. Bert has left indelible memories on our hearts and will be truly missed. Iche Liebre Dich daddy. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 10, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Ness Avenue Baptist Church, 2700 Ness Avenue, Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
