IRENE ANN BARAN (nee GLOWACKI) Peacefully, with her family by her side, Irene Baran passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2010 at the age of 73 years. Irene leaves to mourn her loving husband Walter; children, Chris (Ron), Patti (Garry) and Frank; grandchildren, Cody, Kyle, Matthew, Katie, Brett, Cam, Frank Jr. and Devin. As well as Grandma Baran; sister Eleanor; brothers, Ed and Danny; and sister-in-law Nettie and many nephews, nieces and friends. She was predeceased by son Dennis; parents, John and Catherine; brother Lawrence; and Grandpa Baran. Irene loved working at Luther home. In the 40 years since its opening, she cared for and touched many lives. Her other passions were golfing, reading and in her younger days curling. Passions she passed onto her children. The family extends their thanks for the care and compassion mom received at Seven Oaks Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Memorial service will be held on Friday, September 10, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. 586-8044
