VICTOR BIDINOSTI 1931 - 2010 Peacefully, at his home, with his loving wife Helen by his side and dear longtime friend Jim, on September 7, 2010, Victor passed away at the age of 79. He will lovingly be remembered by his wife of 50 years, Helen; son Blaine (Brenda); daughters, Carla (Dwight),and Nola (Richard); three grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael and Jessica; sister Reta (Desmond) Ross, and sister-in-law Iris Bidinosti. Victor was predeceased by his father Angelo; mother Nellie and two brothers, Kenneth and Jim. Born in Teulon, MB on July 15, 1931, he was raised on a farm in Petersfield. Victor was the second oldest of four children. He attended Hartley school until the 9th grade. From an early age, he took an interest in farming, and purchased his parents farm in 1954. He bought his dream car a 1957 Ford, and then married the love of his life, Helen in 1959. They raised their three children, while building their hog business, raising chickens, and growing an assortment of grain on 400 acres of land. He raised hogs until 1985, and continued with his true passion of grain farming until 2002. His second passion in life was to travel with his family, mostly day trips to local rodeo's, fairs, and tractor pulls. He and his wife enjoyed short trips through the States and had several trips to the Rockies in Chilliwack, BC. There they enjoyed visits with relatives and retired friends. Once he retired, he enjoyed coffee with friends, and dinners with the family, while still taking an interest in what the farmers were growing in their fields, and predicting the weather. His positive attitude, and caring family, and close friends helped carry him through his final year with his battle with cancer. The family (and Victor) deeply appreciate the many gestures of friendship, support, and prayer through these past difficult months. Special thanks to Johnny and Jim. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2010, in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 309 Eveline St., Selkirk, MB at 1:00 p.m. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. The Ven. Godfrey Mawejje officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Victor's memory to CancerCare Manitoba 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E OV9 Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
