ANGELA WATSON Angela Watson passed away peacefully at Oakview Place on September 8, 2010 at the age of 99. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Grandma was a loving, independent and feisty woman. She had many hobbies including sewing, knitting, needlepoint and gardening. She also enjoyed picking blueberries in the sandilands in Manitoba. We all enjoyed her harvest throughout the year in the form of pickles, preserves, jams and the occasional special wine . She could often be found in her yard with a hammer or shovel, fixing or cementing. Holidays were special at her home with many Ukrainian foods, Buddy Holly on the record player and money cakes . Most especially, she always enjoyed a cup of tea or 7-up with a tin of cookies and a game of cards. Angela was predeceased by her husband Jack; son Clyde (Al) and Siblings Peter, Mike, Molly, Mary, and Natalie. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Oakview for their kindness and compassionate care. A special thank you Lydia (from her children) for all her love, time and dedication in caring for Grandma. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at Chapel Lawn at a later date. ln lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so may make a donation in Angela's memory to Extendicare Oakview Place, 2395 Ness Avenue, Winnipeg, R3J 1AS What we have once enjoyed we can never lose.
