Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLAWRENCE GEORGE DOUGLAS 1945 - 2010 Suddenly on September 8, 2010 Lawrence passed away at the age of 64. Lawrence was born in Eriksdale, Manitoba October 30, 1945. He attended Eastland School and Eriksdale Collegiate. He left Eriksdale at a young age to seek his fortune on the west coast. On returning to Winnipeg after 10 years he worked at Canada Packers until they closed. Lawrence moved on to work at MPCI until his passing. Lawrence was an easy-going, fun loving person who loved to joke and play pranks. He was passionate about soccer and attended all of his son Dean's soccer games. He was an avid sports enthusiast ( Go Habs! ). He loved the outdoors and especially spending time at Carol and Dennis's cottage in Ontario. Lawrence is survived by his loving son Dean, Dean's mother Lynn and special friend Donnamae, twin sister Lorna (Ken) Nordal of Masset, BC, sister Carol (Dennis) Ruchotzke, Winnipeg, brother Ron Nobess of the Pas, and brother-in-law Jim Demchynski of the Pas. He was predeceased by his mother Rose and father George, sisters Claudia and Marlene and brother Leon. He will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 200 Dalhousie Drive, at 11:00 a.m. with reception to follow.
