MARGARET ZEILER (nee DOUGLAS) Margaret passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 surrounded by her family. Margaret was born December 20, 1916 in Winnipeg to parents, James and Jean Douglas. She was predeceased by her siblings, Fred, James, Sally, Jean and Kay. Mum worked in the food service industry in Winnipeg while her family was growing up and later in Gillam, Jenpeg and Longspruce in the catering service and as a den mother. After retiring; Mum returned to help her family, often staying for extended visits to help her grandchildren and her siblings. Mum resided in Fred Douglas Lodge for the last few years. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Jacqueline (Gordon) Zechel and Barbara (Wally) Mesojednik; her grandchildren, Kim (Don), Jacki (Trent), Gord (Catherine), Curtis (Tanya), Debbie, James (Tina), Sean (Chantelle); and her great-grandchildren, Eduard, Erin, Adam; Andrew, Kyra, Jesse; Marcus; Montana, Payton, Madison; Matthew, Brandon, Meghan; Melissa, Joshua, Julia, Nick; Danielle and Hayden. We are going to miss you Mom/Grandma. Thank you for all the lessons taught, for helping us to be who we are, for loving us and for being you. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a family gathering will be held at a later date. We wish to extend our deepest thanks to the staff at Fred Douglas Lodge for their wonderful care and compassion. Many thanks to Dr. Mark Kristjanson and staff on the palliative care ward at Seven Oaks General Hospital.
