MONA LUCILLE HAYWARD (nee CRYDERMAN) It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mona Hayward at the age of 70 years on September 10, 2010, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Mona was the youngest daughter born on September 23, 1939 to John Erastus Cryderman and Charlotte Ann Cryderman (nee Eadie) in Swan River, Manitoba. Mona was raised in the Swan River area where she met and married James Gordon Hayward on August 21, 1957. Mona is predeceased by her parents John and Charlotte, brother Harry, sister Ruby, son Kenneth John (December 31, 1963, Werl, Germany), and her grandson Cpl. James Hayward Arnal (KIA July 18, 2008, Panjwai District, Afghanistan). Mona is survived by her husband James; daughter and son-in-law Kim Elaine and Richard LaFleur; daughter Wendy Patricia Hayward; daughter Janet Agnes Ann Hayward; daughter and son-in-law Donna Cynthia Marie and Corey Kadash; ten grandchildren, Shaun William James (Krissy Wall) LaFleur; Giuseppe DiAntonio; Andrew James (Heather) Arnal; Adam James (Jennifer) DiAntonio; Jennifer Violet (Ryan) Pederson; Patricia Dawn (Randy Brickman) LaFleur; Kenneth Richard (Amanda) LaFleur; Deidre Mona Annunciata DiAntonio; Cordell Douglas Kadash; Daulton Connor Kadash and one great-grandson, Giovanni Alexander DiAntonio. Mona is also survived by her sisters Mary (Nelson) Voss, and Leith (Nick Lapsiuk) Bell; sister-in-law Betty Hurrell; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends. Family and friends who wish to remember and celebrate Mona's life may do so on Thursday, September 16, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Stony Plain, 4902 - 44 Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Avenue, Edmonton, AB T6G 1Z2; the Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC), P.O. Box 5000, Stn. Main, Bldg. T-114, Shilo, MB R0K 2A0; or the Canadian Landmine Foundation, c/o Financial Services, University of Winnipeg, 515 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3B 2E9. Mona's memory will always live on in our hearts and minds. May she rest in peace as she waits behind the moon for her beloved Jim, to join her on the remainder of their journey. Will always be remembered with Love and Devotion, Jim, Kim, Wendy, Janet, Donna and Families.
