Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRICHARD MURRAY CHING 1932 - 2010 On Friday, September 10, 2010 at Health Sciences Centre with his family by his side, Murray Ching of Darlingford, MB passed away peacefully from severe pneumonia. He lived his 78 years to the fullest. He worked hard and played hard. Murray was born July 4, 1932 in Morden, the youngest son of Tom and Ella Ching and lived all his life on the Ching family farm. He attended Lorne School just across the road, a school his grandfather helped to build. He began helping his father on the farm at an early age and enjoyed it until his passing. Murray married Jean McDonald on April 10, 1054 in Darlingford. Together they raised four children on the family farm. He took pride in working the land, his Pedigreed seed and raising cattle with his wife. Murray had many friends and enjoyed socializing both at the farm and at the cabin in the valley, built by friends and fellow socializers. Family, hunting, fishing, dancing and travelling were important parts of his life. He enjoyed snowmobiling and spent years selling Yamahas and repairing other models. He made friends wherever he went. We will miss him. He is survived and will be remembered forever in the hearts of his wife of 56 years, Jean (nee McDonald); children, Terry (Larry) Klein, Pam (Bill) Maxwell, Hal (Karen) Ching, Mark (Cathy) Ching; grandchildren, Amanda Lelond (Craig), Adam Klein (Kristy), Angela Coreau (Brent), Megan Maxwell (Fred), Jennifer Ching, Eric Ching (Tiffany); great- grandchildren, Cole Lelond, Mackenzie and Kiera Klein, Christian and Natalia Coreau, Fortune and Maxwell Aknin, as well as his brother, Harry (Isabel) Ching and sisters, Evelyn Ching and Frances (Ron) Schultz and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Tom and Ella and his sister, Marjorie Lumley. A memorial service officiated by Murray's friend, Pastor Hugh Morrow will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Darlingford Community Hall. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Murray's memory to either the Darlingford Memorial Park or the Darlingford Heritage Museum.
