SNYDER It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of David Emerson Snyder on September 11, 2010 at his home in Mississauga, Ontario. Dave will be forever lovingly remembered by wife, Pat, daughter, Heather and her husband, Tim Urech of Thornton, Ontario, step-son, Geoff Devenney and his wife, Kendra Rahne of Orlando, Florida, brother, Allen and wife Virginia of Winnipeg and their family. Fondly remembering their Grandpa Dave are Kristofer and Andrew Snyder and Hannah and Chelsea Devenney. Dave was born in Winnipeg on March 25, 1934, the first child of Lila (McClure) and Emerson Snyder. He attended Isaac Newton and Lord Selkirk Schools as well as the University of Manitoba where he obtained a B. Comm (Marketing) degree in 1956. Dave was an active member of the Mississauga West Rotary and a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a member of St. Stephen's-on-the-Hill United Church where he enjoyed attending the monthly Senior Men's Luncheons. One of Dave's major interests was antique and collector cars and he belonged to the Kaiser-Fraser Owners' Club International, the Ferrari Club and the ACCC Club of Brampton. A gentle man and a gentleman who will be sorely missed by many, but most of all by his loving family. Friends may call at the Turner Porter Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel , 1981 Dundas Street West, Mississauga (East of Erin Mills Pkwy.) on Thursday, September 16 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Service of Remembrance will be held at St. Stephen's-on-the-Hill United Church, 998 Indian Road, Mississauga on Friday, September 17 at 11:00 a.m. Donations to St. Stephens-on-the-Hill United Church, the Rotary Foundation or a charity of your choice would be very much appreciated.
