GARRY LEE GEORGE KESTIRKE It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of an amazing husband, father and grandfather, Garry Lee George Kestirke at the age of 63 years. With his family by his side, Garry passed away peacefully at the Boundary Trails Hospital on September 12, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Lesley; three children Craig, Kristin (Ryan) and Alison (Amanda); three grandchildren Haylie, Easton and Tyson; his mother Annie and parents-in-law, George and Mildred Hodgson. Garry is survived by his siblings Bob (Mae), Janet (John), Audrey, Barb (Jake), Fred (Elaine) Pauline (Cornie), Della (Gary), Rose (Hugh). Garry also leaves Lesley's family Judy, Maxine (Harvey), Barb (Larry), Don (Elaine), Gerald (Bonnie) and numerous nieces and nephews. Garry is predeceased by his father Charles Kestirke, stepfather Bill, brother Allan, sister-in-law Bev and brother-in-law Ervin. Garry was born and raised in Miami, Manitoba. He attended school in Miami and enjoyed many hours working on the Miller Farm. Garry married Lesley Hodgson in 1971 and they made their home in Manitou, Manitoba. Garry worked at the Manitou Credit Union, Konrad and Voth, Louise Credit Union and Enns Agri Sales. Garry left a lasting impression on all those he met. His outgoing, loving, caring personality and his amazing sense of humour will be missed by all. He loved travelling, trailriding and horses, farming, family outings, and spending time with his coffee shop buddies. A celebration of Garry's life will be held at the Miami Community Hall in Miami, Manitoba on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Lunch will follow the service followed by a private burial at the St. Mary's Anglican Church near Kaleida, Manitoba.
