Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY OLGA COLLINS (nee SCHATKOSKI) September 5, 1931 September 12, 2010 After a short battle with cancer our dear sister, aunt and friend passed away peacefully, with her family at her bedside. Mary was born and raised in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. After completing school she worked as a secretary and was transferred to Regina by Mobil Oil in 1958. It was in Regina that she met her husband Larry whom she married in 1965. After several overseas postings they returned to Canada in 1969 and settled in Winnipeg. Mary loved to be active and enjoyed golf, curling, gardening, and her friends. Mary was predeceased by her parents, husband Larry, sister Jean, niece Rhonda Schatkoske, brother-in-law Frank, and sister-in-law Maureen. Mary is lovingly remembered by two sisters, five brothers, niece Janine and many relatives and friends. Public viewing will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. on Thursday, September 16, 2010 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 20, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn, with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2B7 or to the St. James Lutheran Church, 871 Cavalier Drive, Winnipeg, MB, R2Y 1C7.
