LOUIS GASPARD NOBISS 1916 - 2010 On Saturday, September 11, 2010 with his loving family by his side our husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather peacefully passed away at the age of 93. Louis was predeceased by his father Dolphus and mother Clara; son Louis Jr.; brothers John and Frank; sisters Clara, Rose, Mary and Julia; grandson Louie; great-grandchildren Orson and Hailey. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Pearl; sons Richard and Wayne (Cecilia); daughters Ethelene (Bob) of Edmonton, Karen, Lesley, Sara, Doreen (Ray) and Charlene (Eric); 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother George (Stella); and sister Jean (Bob) Bates. Louis was born in St. Laurent, Manitoba and lived there until the age of 10 at which time the family moved to Stonewall, Manitoba. During this time is when he went over to Europe to serve in the Second World War from 1939 to 1945. He returned to Stonewall and this is where he met his wife Pearl. Eventually they both left Stonewall and moved to Winnipeg where they worked, made their home and started their family. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2010 with viewing at 10:00 a.m. and service to follow at 10:30 a.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street, Winnipeg. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. Our deepest gratitude to Dr. Moncek, the nursing and health care aide staff from Seven Oaks Hospital.
