ANNIE BOWMAN 1918 - 2010 Peacefully on September 15, 2010 Anne passed away at Deer Lodge. Ann will be dearly missed by her sister Evelyn Shaw as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents James and Myrtle, brothers Jack and Bruce and sister Mary. Annie was born in Grandview, MB in 1918. Her parents moved to Treherne where she went to school until high school and then went to Yorkton, SK. She then went to Regina to take her nursing degree. After graduation Ann went overseas during the war, upon returning, she went to McGill University to obtain her bachelors degree in nursing. She then went to work at Deer Lodge where she had a long and prosperous career and retired as the director of nursing. Ann was always very active and played baseball on two or three different teams while attending school. She later became a very avid golfer, curler and lawn bowler. She also loved to travel and spent many years traveling the world with her dear friend Myrtle Hodgins. The family would like to thank the staff at Deer Lodge for the wonderful care Ann received. A funeral service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 10:00 a.m., with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Deer Lodge Foundation at 2109 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
