Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNELL HAMERTON January 10, 1935 - April 30, 2010 After many years of suffering with MS and cancer, our beloved Nell slipped away peacefully surrounded by family at the hospital in Victoria BC. She leaves to mourn her passing a daughter Lee; mother Mary Heykin; sisters Anne (Jim), Katie (Len), Vera and Millie (Pat); brothers John, and Willie (Brenda). Also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Peter, sister Clara and a son-in-law Richard Jablonski. Nell was a dynamic lady with many talents. She taught dancing, did watercolour painting and was trained in architectural drafting. She worked for the City of Winnipeg until she moved to Victoria where she designed and built homes. Cremation has taken place in Victoria. A family memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 19 at 2:00 p.m. at the Holy Family Nursing Home (165 Aberdeen Ave.) where Nell's mom resides. We will miss your wisdom and caring ways Nell.
