JOHANNES PIETER TERWIN Sadly, on Tuesday, September 14, 2010, Johannes Pieter Terwin passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side after losing his courageous battle with cancer. Pieter is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marlene, sons Leigh (Cindy), Bryan (Sandi) and Jason. Grandchildren Hunter, Ryan, Megan (Reuben), Jessica, and Nicole. Brothers John (Georgina), Gerry (Donna). Sisters Belle, Cora and Jeanie as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Ethel, father Johannes and sister Betty. Pieter was born in Winnipeg on November 1, 1940 and grew up in Birds Hill, Manitoba. Pieter and Marlene moved to Carman in 1965 to manage a mink ranch situated where they reside today. When the mink ranch closed in 1977, Pieter went to work for Cargill Grain, retiring in 2003. Our memories will be with us always, especially when we see the geese flying. Be free Dad. We will miss you terribly. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Canadian Diabetes Association, or to the Canadian Wildlife Federation.
