ALFRED LLOYD FRED HORE Alfred Lloyd Fred Hore passed away peacefully, August 27, 2010 at the Royal Columbian Hospital, at the age of 80. He will be greatly missed by his children, Dianne (Steve), Randy (Jan), Greg, Doug (Tanis), Rick (Marissa) and Brian (Susan); also his grandchildren, Matthew, Chantelle, Jenny, Justin, Ashley, Tayler, Elizabeth, Brendan, Tammy, Cheryl, Jason, Stevie and eight great-grandchildren. Fred was born July 16, 1930, in Quebec, and is predeceased by his parents, Fred and Gertrude, and his younger sister Maureen. Fred served in the Korean War, where he earned several medals. He devoted many hours of service over the years to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers Booster Club, The Irish Club of Winnipeg and the Burquitlam Lions Club. He was also a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He had a love for life that will be remembered by all that met him. His love for life and will to live was apparent in his last years as he battled ongoing illnesses. Rest in Peace Pops and dance to the music once again. Memorial service to be held Thursday, September 23, 2010, 1:00 p.m. at the Charleswood United Church 4829 Roblin Blvd., Winnipeg Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Coquitlam Stroke Recovery Branch.
