MILDRED-ANNE MARY HANSEN June 14, 1942 - August 18, 2010 It is with deep sorrow the family announces the passing of Mildred-Anne Mary Hansen. Mildred is survived by her loving husband Jack Grinyer; her brother Don Linder; her sister-in-law Marylene; and her nephews, Carl and Christopher. Mildred spent her life helping young people reach their educational goals. She taught at Red River College for 29 years and then became a home-stay provider and educator to foreign students in her retirement. Her gentle spirit made many seek her friendship. Her favourite pleasure was socializing with her friends over a coffee or lunch. She was an avid dog lover and her adorable Daisy still listens for her return. Memories of her kindness will live forever in the hearts of her family, friends and students. A memorial service will take place at Kildonan Community Church, 2373 Main St. on Saturday, September 25 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Palliative Care Unit at St. Joseph's Hospital in Comox, BC will be accepted on her behalf.
