MONIQUE BELL 1939 - 2010 Peacefully on September 16, 2010, Monique passed away at Concordia Hospital. She will be dearly missed by her family: son Leo and granddaughter Celeste. Brother Mike (Verna) and nieces and nephews, partner Frank McKendry and many friends. She was predeceased by her parents Rene and Claire. Monique was born in Montreal, Quebec, in 1939. She moved from Calgary, AB to Winnipeg in 1987. She was active in the Kidney Foundation holding both provincial and national offices. She volunteered for the Manitoba Liberal Party. She worked for the Honorable Ron Duhamel Minister of Francaphony and Veterans Affairs for the federal government. Monique and her best friend Marion were avid garage sale and antique shoppers. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of the Concordia Intensive Care Unit for their excellent care and compassion. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
