SIMONE MASSICOTTE (nee FILLION) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Simone Massicotte at the age of 86 years, at the Villa Youville in Ste Anne, Manitoba on Friday, September 17, 2010. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur in 2002. Left to cherish her memory are her six children: Roger (Nicole), Marcel, Lucille (Jeff), Roland (Louise), Elise (Terry), Thérèse (Alfred); grandchildren: Noël, Julie, Lynn, Rémi, Cory, Clayton, Céline, Stéphane, Chantal, Christine; her sisters: Noëlla, Eveline, Mérisa, Lorraine and brother Elie (Adèle), sisters and brothers-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Our mother was born and resided in Ste Anne, where she raised her family on the farm. She will forever be known for her quiet strength. Her deep faith and wisdom will be a source of inspiration and guidance for many years to come. The family would like to express a very special thank you to Dr. De Moissac, Soeur Forest and Soeur Rioux, for being there for our mother. Also a thank you to the staff at the Villa Youville. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Ste Anne-des-Chênes Roman Catholic Church, with father René Chartier presiding. Interment will follow at the Ste Anne Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Villa Youville, 15 chemin Charrière, Ste Anne, MB R5H 1C9 would be greatly appreciated.
