GORDON October 8, 1920 September 18, 2010 Charles Gordon, beloved husband of Irene, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at the Deer Lodge Centre with his family at his side. He leaves to mourn his passing and to cherish his memory his wife of 63 years, Irene; his daughter Marilyn (Richard) Lysak; son Douglas Gordon; grandchildren Craig (Monica), Keith (Mary Alice) and April; as well as six great-grandsons. He is also survived by his brothers, Mart (Donna) and Henry (Denise); sisters, Sonya (Richard) and Stella (Maurice); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. When Charles was 20 years old he joined the RCAF, where he spent five years in service. Following his service he met and married Irene. The couple spent their married years entirely in Winnipeg where they were blessed with their two children. Charles was also a dedicated member to the Charleswood Legion #100 and to the Masonic Lodge. Charles will be remembered for his love of all children, his wonderful sense of humour and his kind smile. The family extends a heart-felt thank you to the entire staff of Deer Lodge Centre for the wonderful care given to Charles. Floral tributes are gratefully declined, friends so wishing may make a donation in Charles' memory to a charity of one's choice. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Charleswood United Church, 4820 Roblin Blvd. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
