MARIE SHAVRANSKI January 7, 1921 - September 17, 2010 Marie Shavranski (nee Joss) passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, September 17, 2010 at the age of 89 years. She was the widow of Peter Shavranski who predeceased her on November 11, 1971. Marie was the fourth of five children born to Anton and Molly (Baran) Joss on January 7, 1921, on the family farm near Ethelbert, MB. At a young age she moved to Winnipeg to gain employment. There she met Peter at a dance and they later married. Marie and Peter made their home at 469 Oakview Ave. They both loved the outdoors and spent many hours on their boat fishing. They enjoyed socializing, playing cards, and attended many socials and dances. After Peter's passing, Marie went on with her life in a quiet way. She was predeceased by her brothers Bill, John, Harry, Andrew, and her sister Ann. She leaves to mourn several nieces and nephews. According to Marie's wishes, there will be a Graveside Service on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB. Marie will be laid to rest by her husband Peter. If friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111
