Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLYDIA LUCY KWAST We are sorry to announce the death in Vernon, BC, on September 19, 2010, of Lydia Lucy Kwast (nee Kapchinsky) three hours short of attaining the age of 101 years. Lydia was a longtime resident of the Manitou area prior to moving to Vernon. She was the last surviving child of 16 born to August and Louise Kapchinsky. Lydia will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children: Bernice Kwast of Winnipeg, Robert Kwast of Vernon and Marilyn (Claude) Talbot of Vernon; grandchildren: Teresa, Debbie (Wendell), Kevin (Melanie), Angela, Donnalee (Glenn) and Richard (Sonya). She is also survived by great-grandchildren: Lindsay, Melissa, Tyler, Kelsey, Rowan, Levi, Samantha, Benjamin, and Hannah; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was greatly loved by many. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 24, at 2:00 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Vernon. The family wish to extend their gratitude to the caregivers and staff at Heron Grove for their compassion and care to Lydia and also to her family members.
