LORRAINE EMILIE BAKER BRILL (ROZIERE) After a long courageous battle with breast cancer it is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our daughter, sister and aunt. Born December 6, 1948 in St. Boniface, MB, deceased Saturday, September 18, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Comox, BC at the age of 61 years. Lorraine is predeceased by her husband Alfred Brill and survived by her loving parents, Andre and Eva Roziere, her sisters: Louise Roziere, Rolande (Rollie) Bachynski (John), Yvonne Howard (Ray); her two brothers Denis Roziere (Susan) and Marc Roziere; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Lorraine moved to the island many years ago and spent the last several years in Courtenay. She had been attending North Island College / University for many years and had almost completed her degree in the Emily Carr Fine Arts Program. Lorraine loved animals, especially her cats. She was an active member of the Christ the King Parish and L'ARCHE. She will be missed by many. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Christ the King Church in Comox, BC with interment to follow in the Courtenay Civil Cemetery in Courtenay, BC.
