Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySIDNEY CORRIN August 4, 1921 - September 7, 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather Sidney Corrin. He passed away peacefully at Seven Oaks Hospital. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 54 years, Eleanor; daughter Renay; grandchildren, Tabitha, Brennan, Dylan and Dawson; great-grandchildren, Jayden and Mikayla; five brothers, Abe (Betty), Louis (Anne), Max (Celia), Joe (Marcia) and Jack (Evelyn); one sister Evelyn, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Samuel and Freda. Sidney was born and raised in Winnipeg. He worked for many years in his family's business, Corrin and Sons, where they manufactured children's clothing. After retiring from the family business, Sidney became an owner / operator of Yellow Taxi, which later became Unicity, a job he enjoyed and loved to talk about all the adventures he had. He received the first Mayor's Hospitality Award in February 1986 from Mayor Bill Norrie for exceptional service extended to visitors. Sidney loved his family greatly and will be remembered always for his gentle spirit. The family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Bialy and the nurses of U7 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Sidney has been cremated. As per his wishes, no memorial service is being held.
