PAULINE PARENT (nee DUMONTIER) Peacefully on Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at Taché Centre, Mom passed away at the age of 100 years and eight months. She is survived by four daughters: Simone (Etienne) Aubry, Yolande Bergeron, Ghislaine (Pierre) Léveillé, Carole (Lance) Carlson from Killarney; two sons: François (Aline Gendreau) from Ochre River and Richard (Elaine Styles) from Cobble Hill, BC. She was predeceased by her husband Jean-Louis in 1988, sons Jean-Paul (1980) and Joseph (2008). She was the last survivor of the Parent-Dumontier families. After our family moved from Letellier to Winnipeg in 1955, Mom worked for a while at St. Boniface Hospital where she made many friends. She loved going to bingo at the Rendez-Vous and during the last 20 years at Chez-Nous Residence, she loved playing 500 and cribbage. Her knitting and crocheting works were admired by all and many people became beneficiaries of them. The family would like to thank the staff of 5 ABC at Taché Centre for the wonderful care they provided during this last year. Their compassion was comforting. Thanks also to the friends who often visited her. The celebration of Pauline's life will be held Wednesday, September 29 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Cathedral with Father Marcel Damphousse officiating.
