Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVICENTE AUGUSTO MARQUES DE PAULA January 17, 1949 - September 22, 2010 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. Vicente Augusto Marques De Paula passed away suddenly on September 22, 2010, with his family by his side. To keep his memory alive, he is survived by his wife of 30 years, Olimpia, and his two daughters Elizabeth (Jessie) and Julieta (Steve). His memory will also be instilled forever through his grandson Jace who blessed his grandpa with the greatest of joy when he arrived six weeks early to be born on Vicente's birthday. Vicente's memory will also be cherished by his four sisters Rosa (Anibel), who resides in Portugal, Mariana (Daniel), Lourdes (Manuel), and Prazeres (Obaldo) who all reside in France. Also mourning his passing is his brother-in-law Manuel (Fatima), his nieces Ana and Rita, and many other nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Isabelle, his father, Joaquim, and his brothers Manuel, José, and Messias. Vicente loved to share his stories about all the places he's been to, his birthplace of Portugal, his journeys in France, and all the unique things he's done. Another great love of his was spending time up at the Portuguese Park in St. Laurent where he enjoyed the outdoors, visiting with friends, and sharing long camp nights by the fire with his wife. Vicente was a true jack of all trades; there wasn't anything he could not build or fix. He was passionate about building and creating anything with his hands and took pride in everything he did. He especially loved to share his talents with his sons-in-law and with his friends. He was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand. Vicente always considered his greatest accomplishment to be his girls, Liz and Julie. He was never too humble to share with others stories about their upbringing and to let everyone know how proud he was of them. Prayers will be said on Sunday, September 26 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 27 at 9:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin Street N. with Rev. Fr. Wladimir Porreca officiating. Interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue. Estás sempre em nosso coraçoes. Descanse em paz Pai. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
