JAMES (JIM) MCBRIDE On August 25, 2010 at his home, surrounded by his loving family in West Palm Beach, Florida, Jim passed away into the arms of his Lord and Saviour. He is survived by two daughters Darlene McBride and Lynda (Mark) Longwell; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, sister Irene Anderson (Charlie), brother Gordon (Nettie), his twin brother Jack (Marilyn), and sister-in-law Ruth Meakings. Jim was born in Winnipeg and grew up in the West End on Beverly Street. He was predeceased by his wife Mildred in 2004. Jim was an electrician and worked for Shumaker MacKenzie and Comstock. He moved to Florida and was head of the maintenance department at A. G. Holly Hospital in Lantana for 33 years. Jim was a steadfast Christian and member of the Salvation Army playing in the Winnipeg Citadel band and the West Palm Beach Corps. Jim had a fabulous sense of humour, was warm hearted and very generous. Jim will be missed by his friends and family members Love from all, till we meet again. Service for Jim was held in West Palm Beach.
