Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLORNE SMITH July 26, 1922 - August 5, 2010 Peacefully on August 5, 2010, Lorne passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 88 years. He was predeceased by his father and mother, William and Wilhelmina (Minnie) Schmidt, sisters Beatrice and Elsie and brother Ernie. Lorne is survived by his brother Ken, sisters Evelyn and Louisa. Lorne was born on a farm in Pine Ridge, Manitoba. He attended the rural school, Sunnyside B. Lorne had a flair for drawing and for numbers. He loved to play pool with his nephews Tom and Phil. Lorne retired in Winnipeg. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main Street.
