TARAS In loving memory of my dear mother, Antonia, who passed away 12 years ago September 26, 1998. So many things have happened Mom, Since you went away. So many things we could have shared, Had you been here today. So many times I've needed you, So many times I've cried. If love could have saved you, You never would have died. It's lonely here without you, I miss you more every day. Life is not the same Since you were called away. I loved you more than life itself, And when my time is through, I pray that God will take my hand, And lead me straight to you. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by son Walter. Rest in God's care while you rest in my heart.

You and your parents will forever be in my heart and on my mind. I remember you as a good friend, neighbor, but mostly as a quiet, introspective soul. We went to school together, and played off and on with other kids in the good old north end. Our parents would regularly stop each other on the street just to "shoot the breeze". I remember your mother as one with a strong opinion - no matter the subject. Our dads, for their part, would talk and talk and talk about the "old country". About 2 years ago, as I was driving my daughter home from the movies, I took a detour from Main to the street you and I lived on, and noticed a lone figure on the porch steps where you lived for so many years before. I backed up, and recognized you. You looked eerily similar to that Walter of long ago, but with a white beard. I have to admit I wasn't ready to say Hi as my emotions got the best of me. Anyway, I'd love to meet with you before our time is up. I have lots to say! - Posted by: Michael Marko (Friend & Neighbor just down the street. House number 44.) on: Jun 13, 2020
