DOROTHY LOUISE (BABE) REID November 24, 1908 - September 27, 2010 Our Mom (Dorothy) passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday morning, September 27, 2010 at Bethania Nursing Home. She was born in Hafford, Saskatchewan November 24, 1908 to Jim and Martha Warren. She leaves to cherish her memory four children: daughters, Marlene (Allan) Pennie, Val (Keith) Cale; sons, Jack (Michelle), James (Annette); ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters Olive McDermot of Florida and Ramona LeClair of Winnipeg; as well as many nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her husband Alex in February 2006; brothers Robert (Bud) and Art, and sister Edna. Mom was a member of Rotary Ann's where she held multiple offices and was a lifetime member of Deer Lodge United Church. Mom and Dad spent many years travelling to the United States and overseas. Their greatest enjoyment was the cottage at Malachi, Ontario picking berries, boating, visiting and playing games with friends and family. After Alex died Mom moved to The Westhaven , she loved the staff and new friends she met there. A memorial service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue on Friday, October 1, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Earl Gould officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to C.N.I.B., 1080 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3G 3M3 or a charity of one's choice. We Love You Mom. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
