MARK JARMASZ It is with immense sadness that our family announces the death of Mark on Saturday, September 25, 2010. Left to mourn Mark's memory is his wife Kristina; daughters Jessica and Sam; sister Dorothy (Doug) Kasia and brother Peter (Karen). Mark was a University of Manitoba graduate and holder of a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. He began working for Manitoba Hydro, moving on to Sysmon and finally NRC, IBD. Vacations were spent at his two favourite destinations: one, only an hour away in beautiful St. Malo and the other, five hours away in quixotic Puerto Vallarta. A marathon runner, Mark had a strong passion for mathematics, chess and opera. As he spent countless hours reading books from his extensive home library he became a walking encyclopedia for all of us to partake in. His quick-wit and unique sense of humour filled our home with laughter. Respecting Mark's wishes, a private family celebration of his life will be held at his home. We wish to thank Dr. Bhanot and the 3rd floor Unit 5 staff at Seven Oaks Hospital. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in Mark's memory may be made to Seven Oaks Hospital Foundation. Goodbye to our brilliant and beautiful mind.
