Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATIE ESAU Peacefully at home, Katie passed away on September 28, 2010 at the age of 79 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband, George, daughter Joyce (Bryan) Latimer, two sisters and many nieces and nephews. Katie was predeceased by her son Stanley and three brothers. Katie was born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan on October 21, 1930 to Issac and Helen Friesen. In 1953 Katie moved to Winnipeg working various jobs before meeting George in 1957. On June 22, 1958 they married and shortly thereafter they began their family. Donations may be made in Katie's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division (Division Office), 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7. Thank you to all the nurses at Concordia Hospital and Home Care as well as family and friends for their care and kindness. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at First Mennonite Church.
