JULIETTE ROADHOUSE (formerly JOHNSON, nee LASNE) Peacefully on Friday, September 24, 2010 after a brief illness, Juliette completed life's journey. Born July 8, 1918, daughter of Francis and Marie Blanche Lasne. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband Elliott Lynn Roadhouse. Left to celebrate her life and mourn her passing are her sons: Robert Johnson (Susan), Peter Johnson (Carol) and Trevor Roadhouse (Audrey). As well, Juliette is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Amanda Fedyck (Ken), Timothy Johnson, Tanis Roadhouse (Chris Eltervoog) and Taylor Roadhouse, as well as her many friends at Lindenwood Manor. During the Depression years, Juliette worked as a dressmaker; a skill that she put to good use throughout her life. She served with the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War. After the war she moved from Ottawa to Winnipeg in 1947. She was employed by GBR Associates until her retirement. Much of Juliette's life was devoted to raising her sons, imbuing in them her values of hard work, determination and integrity. But the great love of her life was sharing a passion for nature with her husband Lynn. In addition to camping and bird watching, Juliette loved to read and took great delight in getting her hands on almost any novel written in French. Juliette will be laid to rest at Green Acres Cemetery. A service of celebration will be held on Thursday, October 7 at 2:00 p.m. at Lindenwood Manor, 475 Lindenwood Drive East.
