EDWARD GARY MACMULLEN Peacefully, on September 28, 2010 at the Whitemouth Personal Care Home, Edward Gary MacMullen passed away, with Mary and Gordie by his side. Uncle Eddie was born December 12, 1922. He joined the Canadian army at age 16 and earned some medals while overseas in the Second World War. He was a truck driver and owned his own security company called PT Security in William's Lake, BC for over 30 years. He had many friends there. Uncle came to live in Manitoba in 1996 wanting to be closer to his sister Virginia. He lived with Peter and Ann Penner until 2007 when he went to the W.P.C.H. Uncle enjoyed having coffee with family and friends. He did woodworking, making wishing wells and lighthouses for his family and friends. He liked all kinds of music and returning to William's Lake in the fall while his health allowed him to do so. Predeceased by his mom and sisters, Maxine and Virginia. Uncle leaves many nieces and nephews to remember his sense of humour and how he enjoyed life. Also cherishing his time here is his special friend Eddie in William's Lake, BC and his son Brent in Hamilton, Ontario. Services to be held at 11:00 a.m., visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 4, 2010 in the East Braintree Church. Interment to follow at the East Braintree Cemetery. With Pastor Brian Hamilton officiating. Pallbearers will be Kyle Kowaski, Peter Penner, Bill Holden, Les Kovacs, Derek Katturainuk, and Steve Kuharski. Thanks to all the staff at the Whitemouth Personal Care Home and to Leni Steffensen for staying with Uncle during the night. Donations, if desired can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6. The family invites you to attend lunch after the service. See you later Lonestar.
