Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRACHEL (RAE) BORODENKO (nee BUZOWETSKY) November 4, 1924 - September 27, 2010 Early Monday morning September 27, 2010 at the St. Boniface Hospital, with family by her side, Rae passed peacefully into the waiting arms of her Lord and Saviour. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her daughters Karen (Mel) and Debbie (George), and granddaughters Tennille Siemens, Tanya and Tiffany Giesbrecht. Rae was predeceased by husband Matt (1991), her parents, four brothers and five sisters. She was born the youngest of 10 in Blaine Lake, SK. Matt met Rae in Toronto and after their marriage in 1947, they owned and operated Montreal Café, the town theatre and later the Massey Ferguson dealership in Dominion City, MB. Rae remained there until 1997 when she moved into an apartment in Winnipeg, where she resided for 13 years. In August, Rae went to Thorvaldson Care Centre and the family wishes to express their thanks to the staff for the excellent care and compassion they provided. A celebration of Rae's life will be held Saturday, October 2 at 12:00 noon at Whyte Ridge Baptist Church, 201 Scurfield Blvd., Winnipeg. Private family viewing at 11:00 a.m. Interment at 4:00 p.m. at the Dominion City Cemetery. Donations in her memory can be made to Thorvaldson Care Centre, 495 Stradbrook Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K2.
