CARL CHRISTOPHER ISHMAEL Carl Christopher Ishmael born August 7, 1946 in Georgetown Guyana, South America, passed away peacefully September 27, 2010 at the St. Boniface Hospital with his sister by his side. Carl leaves behind two sisters, two brothers, nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends. Thanks to all the caring staff, doctors, surgeons and specialists at the Health Sciences Centre M.I.C.U.; Doctors Ken Kasper (Health Sciences Centre), Young (Victoria General Hospital) and C. Hildahl; homecare workers especially Shirley. Special thanks to the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care nurses and doctors, especially Dr. Michael Volpe, for their compassionate care. Cremation has taken place. A small memorial will be held at a later date for Carl's friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society Research Institute.
