THOMAS GEORGE BATY October 20, 1931 - September 27, 2010 Peacefully, with family at his side, George passed away after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 78 years. George is survived by wife Louise; sons Terry (Shelley), Ron, Jody (Angie); daughter Cindy; grandchildren Donna, Teresa, Mathew, Evan, Nina, Nicole; great-grandchildren Thanden, Christian, Logan, Emerson; brothers James (Lorna), David (Laura), Alan (Pat). He was predeceased by his parents, William and Isabella, and a sister Margaret in infancy. In compliance with George's wishes, no formal Funeral Service will be held. Our family would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff at the Seven Oaks General Hospital; Doctors Peter Nickerson and Lam of the Nephrology Clinic at Health Sciences Centre for the excellent care and compassion given to George in his long struggle with Wegner's disease. In lieu of flowers, donations in George's memory may be made to the Siloam Mission, 300 Princess St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 9Z9, would be greatly appreciated.
