ELIZABETH A. SHARPE (BETTY) The family of Elizabeth Sharpe are grieved to announce her passing on September 28, 2010 in her 91st year. Predeceased by her husband Harry, her parents, Adelina and Origene Roy, her brother Thomas and sister Emma, she leaves to mourn, son Andre, daughter Marie, grandson Gabriel and son-in-law Frank. Our mother was true to her friends and family right to the very end of her life. She stood fast in her support of everyone dear to her and was never shy in shamelessly bragging about our accomplishments no matter how small. Mom made a life-long career of volunteering, working tirelessly in support of St. Ignatius Church and numerous other charitable projects. Many depended on her generosity, knowledge and helpful spirit, especially her family members whom she held so dear. Being overly generous at times, she once cleared the bottoms of our closets and donated almost all our toys to a needy family living on the next street. Disgruntled at the time, we didn't realize how important generous characters are in this world. But over the years, thanks to Mom, we learned. We would like to thank all who brightened Mom's days at the Foyer Valade Personal Care home, supplying bountiful hugs and kisses over the last three years. Also thanks to those who were generous with their phone calls, visits, card, flowers and tokens of love, especially, Camille, Yvonne and Yvonne Van Walleghem. In lieu of flowers, we request that you tell someone you love them today, have masses said for our Mom or donate to a charity in her name. A private family burial will take place at a later date. LOVE YOU MA

  • I only just read of Betty's passing. As it is Remembrance day I was thinking of Harry and the strength that I remember. So happy that she lived such a long life. - Posted by: Carol Wilson (Daughter of Richard B. Wilson. family friend) on: Nov 10, 2014
