CHRISTA SACHSE Suddenly, on October 1, 2010 Christa passed away at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 82. Christa will be remembered by her husband of 38 years, Heinz; sisters Ursula Zapp and Gertraud Luedtke; niece and nephews Heidi, Ingo and Wolfgang, as well as their families. She will also be missed by many neighbours and friends. Christa was born in Berlin, Germany where worked as a kindergarten teacher until she immigrated to Canada in 1972 when she met and married Heinz. Christa enjoyed arts and crafts, crocheting and needlepoint. She made many friends in Germany, Winnipeg, Clandeboye, Gimli, and California. In lieu of flowers, donations in Christa's name may be made to the Manitoba Diabetes Association, 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 8, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. with a viewing one half hour prior.
