VINA LIGHT Peacefully, at the age of 88 years old, Vina passed away on September 29, 2010. She was predeceased by her husband, Jim. She will be remembered by her sons Gary (Cynthia), William (Diane), grandchildren, David (Maurizio), Chris (Kerrie), Jennifer (Ralf), and great-grandchildren, Keris, Megan, and Steven. Vina is also survived by siblings, Jean Kowal and Norman Kamins (Rose), and numerous nieces and nephews. Vina was born on September 10, 1922 in rural Manitoba and was raised in the Brooklands/ Weston area. She worked for several years at Eaton's downtown. She was a member of St. Thomas Anglican Church and enjoyed spending time with friends doing crafts and ceramics. Her main passion though was spending her summers at the cabin at Laclu, ON. It was her home away from home. She would spend every summer there from May until October and never wanted to leave. Many thanks to the staff at Middlechurch Home for their care. With respect to Vina's wishes, there will be no formal service. A private family graveside service will be held at Brookside Cemetery.
