PHYLLIS MCDONALD (nee HODDINOTT) (DEVESON, GUDMANDSON) Peacefully, on October 4, 2010 at the age of 89 years, Phyllis passed away. She is survived by daughter Rosemary (Leo) Rowan, sons Douglas (Linda) and Eric Gudmandson, brother John (Wilma) Hoddinott, 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Predeceased by parents Frank and Maud Hoddinott, sister Connie Currie, daughter Marguerite Hjorth, and grandson James Rowan. Phyllis was a loving and generous woman who was always the life of the party. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. Telling jokes was her forte. Despite the many struggles throughout her life, she always greeted everyone with her mischievous smile and quick wit. She will be fondly remembered for her compassion and joie de vivre. Memorial service will be held Thursday, October 7 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler at Henderson Highway.
