GERALD (GERRY) FAY After a long battle with heart disease on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 with his wife and children by his side, Gerald passed away at the age of 61 years. He was predeceased by his mother Rose (nee Rosset) and his brother-in-law Alain Tooter Picton. Gerry will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 37 years Doris (nee Picton), his daughters Micheline (Jason Pott), and Rachelle (Gerald LaFreniere), his sons Normand (Jeannette) and Gilbert; his grandsons Nathan, Luka and Gavin. He is also survived by his father Emile (Jackie), his in-laws Michel and Cécile Picton, his sisters Alice Belanger (Norman), Beatrice Mansell (Doug) and Marilyn Davies (Jeff); his sisters-in-law Jacqueline Major (Denis), Andrea VanDamme (Robert), Leonie Cabernel (Ken), Loraine Picton (Marcel), and Joanne Picton, his brothers-in-law Fern Picton (Kathleen), Norbert Picton (Lucette), and Richard Picton (Lianne), as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Gerry served four years with the Queen's Own Rifles of Canada then joined Canada Post for 32 years. Dad loved spending time with the family, enjoying camping, watching hockey and baseball, going to the movies and getting together with the family for all occasions. But most of all, he loved spending time with his grandsons. Prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 11 at the Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street. Funeral mass will take place 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12 at the St. Denis Parish in Haywood, Manitoba. Interment to follow at the parish cemetery.
