CHARLES-EMILE ROY 1925 - 2010 Peacefully, surrounded by his family, Charles-Emile Roy passed away at St. Boniface Hospital on October 9, 2010. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Gilles (Desneiges), René, Marie (Léon), Georges (Ginette), Denise (Gary), Réjean (Louise) and Lise; 12 grandchildren, Manie (Russ), Marc (Jess), Charles (Shelly), Gaétan, Miguel (Marlène), Nadine, Sylvie, Mélanie (Brian), Christian (Lisa), Rikki, Joëlle Marion (Dominic) and Serge (Maria), as well as 10 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Lucille (late Aldéric Guay), Madeleine (Robert Guay) and S. Hélène Roy o.m.i., as well as many nieces and nephews. He has now joyfully joined his dear wife Thérèse; his parents, Alphonse and Marie (Proulx); as well as his brothers, Gérard, Rémi, Paul and Jean. The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion during Charles-Emile's brief illness. Charles-Emile will be remembered for his smile, his generosity and his dedication towards his parish, Paroisse St-Eugène and the Foyer Valade Care Home, where he volunteered his time for several years. Hard-working and selfless, Charles-Emile was appreciated for his know-how and his resourcefulness. Many an enjoyable evening was spent playing cards with his family and friends! Viewing will be held at 10:30 a.m. followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 13 presided by l'abbé Kevin Bettens at the St-Eugène Church located at 1007 St. Mary's Road.
