STELLA GREEN Peacefully on Sunday, October 3, 2010, after a brief illness and a courageous battle with cancer, it is with deep regret that we announce the death of Stella Green at her home at the age of 62 years. Remaining to forever cherish Stella's memory are her beloved husband Glen of 25 years of marriage; stepson Glen; grandchildren, Nina and Nathan; brother Art; sister Philomena and Susan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Tom Green and Philomena (nee Cox); sisters, Vern, Mary, Sarah, Kathleen; brothers, Pat, Steve, Al, Tom and George. Stella was born and raised in Lourdes, Newfoundland and moved to Nova Scotia as a young adult where she met her loving husband Glen. In later years, Stella and Glen moved to Winnipeg to be closer to their grandchildren. She enjoyed sharing her time with good friends and family. She also enjoyed spending time with her devoted husband while playing bingo and bowling. In compliance with Stella's wishes, a memorial service will be held in Halifax, Nova Scotia with interment in Lourdes, Newfoundland. The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Home nursing staff. In lieu of flowers, donations in Stella's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 2B7.
