LONI LILEY On Tuesday, October 5, 2010, Mom passed away peacefully at home as she wanted. Left behind are her husband of 57 years, Johannes T.M. Liley; children, Doris Finn (Dan), Andre (Sherry); and her seven grandchildren, Christopher, Meghan, Ryan, Brittany, Andrew, Sacha and Dillon. Loni was born in Kierspe, Germany on May 17, 1932 and immigrated to Canada with her husband in July 1957. A week before her passing, Loni said I had a good life married 57 years to a wonderful man; a good man. She is now in a better place, pain free and at peace. As per Mom's request, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Sincere thanks to Dr. Hiebert and staff of the Victoria General Hospital for their great care during her brief stay. John, Doris and Andre extend a sincere thank you to the Dakota House staff and Home Care (especially Tracy and Brenda) for their wonderful care and for being there for Mom. As Mom also recently stated, It's a wonderful place to live. In lieu of flowers, please donate to any one of these worthwhile charities: Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, The Arthritis Society, Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB).
