GEOFFREY SHANE CREW It is with profound regret that I announce the passing of my soul mate and friend. Geoff passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, after a short battle with Glioblastoma, brain cancer. Geoff was born in Ottawa, Ontario on March 17, 1947 to Charles and Constance Crew. He leaves to mourn his passing his loving partner, Elaine Bolter and her children, Sharon and Rod Redfern (Nyssa, Erik, Myles); Karen and Mark Hanuschuk; Leslie and Fred Hrehirchuk (Jenna, Nick); his daughters, Meredith Crew and Mark Lajois (Esme); Morgan Crew (Aggie, Wilson); one sister, Diana Beatty; his twin brother, Mike; many nieces and nephews; and many friends in Arizona. Cremation has taken place. At Geoff's request there will be no formal service. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations to the Gimli Animal Shelter, or a charity of your choice. A special thank you to all doctors, nurses and staff at Arborg and Gimli Hospitals. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 16 at 103045 Trevino Trail in Sandy Hook, Manitoba from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
