Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN CHOMIK (DUKE) Peacefully, on October 8, 2010, John passed away at Deer Lodge Centre. John was born May 18, 1930. He was predeceased by his parents, Cheratin and Yustyna Chomik. John was a life-long member of St. Nicholas Church. In his younger days he attended St. Nicholas School, belonged to the Canadian Catholic Youth, St. Nicholas Choir and served as an Assistant Sacristan to the Basilian Fathers. John worked with the Canadian National Railway for 44 years. He enjoyed the little things in life and will be fondly remembered by many long-time friends, especially Harry and Elsie Kruk. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 15, 2010 at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave. with Rev. Fr. Isidore Dziadyk, O.S.B.M. officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. Many thanks go out to the staff and volunteers at St. Boniface Hospital and Deer Lodge Centre, 6 West.
