GEORGE ESAU Peacefully in Concordia Hospital on October 13, 2010 at the age of 83 years with his family by his side. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Joyce (Bryan) Latimer, three sisters, Anne, Margaret, Helen, (Henry) Kasper, one brother Rudy, and many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. Predeceased by his wife Katie, one son Stanley and two brothers. George was born in Grunthal, Manitoba on the family farm, and was married to his wife Katie and moved to Winnipeg in 1958. He worked with the City of Winnipeg beginning in the late 1960s. Camping, bowling and fishing were a few of his favourite activities. In keeping with George's wishes, cremation has taken place and a service in his memory will be held on Friday, October 22, 2010 at First Mennonite Church, 922 Notre Dame Ave. at 11:00 a.m. with the interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in George's memory may be made to Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3.
