ALLAN WESLEY EDWARDS Age 81, of Winnipeg, passed away on September 26, 2010. Allan was unmarried. He is survived by his sisters, Margaret Peggy Zahalan of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, Marilyn Baker of Edmonton, Alberta, and Marion of Norfolk, England and brother, Gerald of British Columbia as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, J. Gordon in 1974 and Ethel (nee Baxter) in 1977 and his brother, Murray in 2002 as well as by William James Gordon in 1927, Lillian Evelyn Joyce in 1928 and Dorothy Edna in 1938. Allan attended schools in McCreary, Dauphin and Ottawa. Prior to leaving Dauphin, Allan delivered both groceries and telegrams by bicycle, worked for Mr. Ernie Black of Black's Bicycle Shop then began his career as mechanic at Allard's Garage. After moving to Winnipeg Allan was employed by Powell Equipment, and retired from the Provincial Government in 1994. Allan earned many commendations for his excellent work ethics. Cremation has taken place and interment will be at the Riverside Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
