ALLAN CLIFFORD MONSON It is with sadness that the family of Allan Clifford Monson, aged 83, announces his passing at his home in Calgary, Alberta on August 9, 2009. Al was predeceased by his parents, Martin and Selma Monson, sisters Edith, Esther and Hazel, brothers Gordon, Donald and Gilmour. Uncle Al will be fondly remembered by his niece Shirley, great-nephew Trevor, great-niece Tracy (Rick), great-great-nephews Adam (Kelly) and Matt (Amber), and his life-long friend, Frank Hatfield. Al was most at home when he was travelling and preferred to see places the way the locals did. We will miss his zest for the Red River Ex and especially for Christmas and all those individually wrapped tiny gifts. His letters home to us were always something to look forward to and kept us entertained. Cremation has taken place. There will be a graveside service at Brookside Cemetery on Wednesday, October 20 at 2:00 p.m.
